In the 1850’s, the village of Marysburg sprang forth as a stage stop along the Dubuque trail. The Catholic settlers were passionate about their faith and quickly set to building a church for their new community. We are a people of the country called by God to be a Church of Jesus Christ in our place and time. Through Baptism, we are called to respond to God's invitation with personal commitment and communal action.
Our mission is to proclaim the life-giving and hope-giving good news of the Gospel by what we say and do. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to build a strong community based on forgiveness, care, and mutual respect. We are called to share our gifts with the people of God. |

The INCREDIBLE Power of Prayer... Prayer is communicating with God. All you have to do is ask God for His help. Psalm 107:28-30 reminds us, "Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven." There is power in prayer! The Bible urges us, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18). Please join us in praying for those who need the strength only achieved through the Power of Prayer....
